Abu Galoum Protectorate
In collaboration with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, rangers local authorities, Hemaya has been actively working to protect and safeguard the fragile ecosystem of Abu Galoum Protectorate. Through monitoring wildlife, assessing the health of coral reefs, and conducting targeted patrols to monitor illegal fishing activities.

Campaign against South Sinai Power Plant
Hemaya successfully led a community-driven effort to stop the construction of a 750-megawatt power plant in Nuweiba. By submitting a formal complaint to the European Investment Bank (EIB) and highlighting the project's environmental and social risks, Hemaya, alongside local residents, engaged in months of discussions and expert evaluations. Ultimately, the EIB withdrew its funding, preventing the project and preserving Nuweiba’s natural and cultural heritage.
