Solid Waste Management Training

PIONEERING SUSTAINABILITY IN SOUTH SINAI

At Hemaya’s main sorting station in Nuweiba, learning goes beyond theory. It's a hands on experience that transforms knowledge into action. Through interactive training sessions, participants gain practical skills in proper waste sorting and sustainable waste management. They learn how to separate recyclables, minimize waste contamination, and understand the environmental impact of improper disposal. But this training isn’t just about managing waste, it’s about fostering a culture of responsibility and sustainability.

In collaboration with CID (Community and Institutional Development), Hemaya established a fully equipped training center to educate young people from across Egypt, providing them with the tools to make a difference. Hemaya trained employees from Hepka and Sekem, as well as individuals from Shalateen city, along with more than 170 homeless children from Cairo through the Children in Need program.

By turning waste into opportunity, education into empowerment, and action into lasting change, Hemaya is building a future where sustainability is second nature.
