Back to School Project

Empowering Education in South Sinai

Education is a powerful tool for change, yet access to quality learning experiences remains a challenge in remote areas like Nuweiba and its surrounding valleys. Hemaya’s "Back to School" project was designed to bridge this gap by bringing engaging educational and cultural experiences to young students in South Sinai.

The initiative began with an intensive five-day workshop at Basata Eco-Lodge, where 15 passionate volunteers from Cairo received training and participated in interactive sessions to exchange ideas and teaching techniques. The volunteers were then divided into three groups, each visiting a different school in the valleys and towns around Nuweiba. Over three days, they delivered interactive lessons, fun activities, and cultural programs, creating a vibrant and inspiring learning environment for primary school children.

Through this project, Hemaya not only enriched the students' educational journey but also fostered a deeper connection and understanding between volunteers and the local communities.
